Early transfer to the authentic summer mountain farm Øverdalssætra where you meet the goats. Experience the milking process and enjoy a freshly made breakfast straight from the pastures. Afterwards you can hike to the mountain top Pika (1157m) and descend yourself back to Rondane River Lodge again. Count on about 3 hours hiking in varying terrain while you enjoy splendid views over the Rondane National Park.

For a supplement of 750 NOK per person the hike can also be guided.

From 01/07 until 13/08 you can also visit the goat farm daily from 12h00 until 18h00 and buy cakes, waffles and traditional rømmegrøt (porridge). For the afternoon visit you don’t need to make a reservation in advance.

Alternatively we also arrange a cultural program during which you visit the goat farm, get a guided visit at the wooden Sollia church and can taste locally made goat cheese in the local cheese factory.
