    From 3/4/23 until 9/4/23 we open our Vaffelgård (Waffle Farm) again. Here you can savour fresh homemade Norwegian and Belgian waffles. Both countries have a long tradition when it comes to serving tasty waffles. Norway is famous for it’s classic heart shaped waffle while Belgium comes up with 2 different variations: the more crispy and square shaped waffle from Brussels and the round shaped waffle from Liège with caramelized sugar.

    As the Belgian owners of Rondane River Lodge we want to introduce Belgian waffles in Norway.

    As the Belgian owners of Rondane River Lodge we want to introduce Belgian waffles in Norway. We serve them according to the traditional recipe but present some new twists as well with a selection of different toppings. Even salt waffles will be served that can be combined with a hearty soup or fresh salad. How does a goat cheese waffle sound for example made with cheese from the local goat farm? The choice is all yours!

     

    And don’t worry… Of course the classic Norwegian waffle with sour cream and strawberry jam is also on the Vaffelgård menu.

     

    The Easter café will be open daily from 12h00 until 16h00. Enjoy your waffle outside on our cosy terrace or inside in the restaurant. You do not need to reserve in advance unless you come with a group or want something special.
