A quite easy hike to a canyon with the most spectacular waterfall in our area. Start at the parking place opposite Venabu Fjellhotell. Walk about 150m north along the main road before turning right on the hiking path through the cabin field towards Myåsen. Turn left at the junction and have a break at a nice shelter with fireplace. Follow the small path behind the shelter to Mysæter summer farm. Cross the bridge over a beautiful river in the valley and follow the road left around the farm. Turn right at the signposting to Myfallet and follow the path parallel with the fence until you reach a picknick bench. Here you turn left to start descending into the canyon. At the next junction you can optionally go straight on first to a viewpoint on the waterfall from above (1km extra return). Otherwise you turn right and follow steep down, the last part via sherpa stairs, until you reach the waterfall in the bottom of the canyon. You might get wet because of spraying water! Climb the same way out of the canyon again and walk back to the summer farm and shelter. Continue to Myåsen again but go straight this time at the junction to take another route back to Venabu Fjellhotell.
Quite easy hike except the last steep part to the waterfall which requires some endurance. Most tracks are signposted.
