Veslefjellet // Top (1034m) & Dørfallet waterfall

A moderate hike starting at the parking place near Forrestad Seter on the Venabygd plateau. Follow the main road south for a short while and turn left into the cabin field a Veslefjellvegen. Cross the bridge and take the second road the right, just behind a cabin. Walk along another cabin and pursuit on a hiking trail gently going up along the edges of Veslefjellet mountain. At the crossroads follow in the direction of Dørfallet and circumnavigate the wetlands by following the ‘red T-s’. Return the same way back to the crossroads but this time continue to follow the ‘red T-s’ to the summit of Veslefjellet. Continue over the ridge to Veslefjellbua, a self-serviced DNT-mountain cabin (DNT-key required). Keep following the ‘red T-s’ in the direction of Spidsbergseter and Eldåbu. Turn left after the wooden bridge over the river and follow the gravel road back to Forrestad Seter.

Normal fitness required. Most tracks are signposted. Suitable for all skill levels. Be prepared for stony/slippery tracks, wetlands and some smaller river crossings.
